Live Model X Shibari

GREAT NEWS !

 After several weeks of thinking and daydreaming, the Atelier Mae and Nell Live Models Workshop are organizing a Live Model x Shibari collaboration!

 This special and unique event offers you the opportunity to draw and make numerous sketches of two models practicing Shibari during a performance specially created to offer you elegant and varied roped/tied poses. We will move from fast moving poses to longer poses, from the ground to suspensions, from one rope to several ropes at a time!

 Practical information

 UNSUPERVISED WORKSHOP. Drawing exploration for amateur and experienced artists

 DATE AND TIME. Sunday April 28 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. – to end the week in style.

 MATERIALS. Bring your various artistic mediums, as well as supports (e.g., solid cover notebooks)

 What does Atelier Mae’s Shibari look like?

 Originally used to describe the art of tying ropes, Shibari has become a widespread practice throughout the world, practiced in particular as a rich and complex form of artistic expression that has its roots in Japanese tradition. This practice uses rope as a knotting tool as well as a means of aesthetic and emotional expression.

 “Our rope practice is intended to be “neutral” in the sense that it is free of sexuality (and BDSM-oriented games). If of course intimacy and sensuality can be at the heart of the subject, the style of rope that we practice is more articulated around the manipulation of bodies, movement, dance and minimalism which will allow us to stage superb ephemeral postures.” Laurianne & Eric Atelier Mae.
