Atelier Mae offers you a brand new formula, the monthly Perf & Jam evening!

The concept of “Perf & Jam” evenings was born from the idea of being able, once a month, to promote experienced shibari practitioners in order to raise public awareness of the different styles of strings that coexist and mingle within a same universe. Sometimes playing on constraints, other times on the traditional sphere, on the emotional aspect, or even on a more artistically chaotic universe, the demonstration proposed by our presenters will allow you to discover universes as varied as they are intense. In addition, we also wanted to demonstrate, apart from the plurality of attachments, a certain diversity of roles, genders and morphologies within the ropes sessions, in order to show that shibari remains an art and a discipline accessible to all without other restriction than wanting to invest in it.

On the program, a performance by the day's guests, then a time for discussion between the audience and the artists. This will be followed by the traditional Atelier Mae jam, accessible to all levels and to those who wish to practice as well as those who would simply like to observe.

For this third edition, the Atelier welcomes a couple from the Belgian string scene: Master Zen & C.

Doors open : 5:45 p.m.

Performance + discussion time: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Jam : 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Bio - Active in the BDSM / Fetish community, we discovered shibari during an evening (a small initiation for "C" in the south of France) and saw it as a new door to open for our practices. Passing through Paris in an internationally renowned dojo, we begin our quest for a closer location. In Brussels, dojo 1.0, as insiders like to call it, has just opened. We met Nicolas Yoroi, and it was a wonderful revelation: I am a martial arts teacher, “C” practices yoga and instantly his approach speaks to us.

Martial, attitude, axis, posture, mental, tension, relationship with others and with the body, learning technique to forget technique, every word resonates in me who is also a competitor. We like his journey and here we are embarked on an adventure of several years (classes, jam, workshop). So we discovered kinbaku/shibari together, married in the city, parents, we have been evolving in this universe for a little over 10 years. Sharing this passion willingly in the evenings, in the munches, we "attach" enormous importance to security and informed consent, our leitmotif.
