Rope Stages and Jams Evenings

The program features a public shibari session and a chance to interact with the artists, before giving way to the traditional jam.

Discover the artists of the Rope Stage Evening

The "Rope Stage & Jam" concept was born from a desire to regularly showcase experienced shibari practitioners, thereby raising public awareness of the diverse rope styles that coexist and blend within this shared world.

Whether exploring themes of restraint, tradition, emotion, or eroticism—or even venturing into a more artistically chaotic realm—the demonstrations presented by our featured artists will introduce you to worlds that are as varied as they are intense. Beyond the diversity of tying styles, we also aim to highlight the variety of roles, genders, and body types involved in rope sessions, demonstrating that shibari is an art form and discipline accessible to everyone; the only requirement is a willingness to engage with the practice.

The program features a performance by the day’s guest artists, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. This will be followed by the traditional Atelier Mae jam—an event open to all skill levels, welcoming both those who wish to practice and those who simply want to observe.
